Got a problem with my brothers PC. Basically the other day he returned home to find that his computer had switched itself off. I opened it up and can see no signs of a fried motherboard nor CPU, there is also no smell of burning.

G-7vkml next thought was the PSU but a change of that resulted in the same. Since this I have tried swapping the memory around to no avail.
Searched around and googled and cant get any info on this, so hoping you may be able to help me out. I have built many systems using that board, but right now I can’t remember if that light should be red or yellow. I know that is should be lit though. gigqbyte
If you have a spare ram module that you know works, then try that. I have noticed that some of this boards have dimms that just die. And I’ve gotten quite a few that were dead on arrival.
So if I had to guess, which I do, I would say the mobo is the problem. Thanks for the reply, I don’t have any spare ram lying about but I could take a stick out of this computer to test it.
I’ll try and do this later on today. So looks like it is the motherboard that has died on me.

Might also be the CPU that has died. So if they use the same colour on both boards,which is more likely.
